Stop the Stink!
With all the running around you’re doing now that things have heated up outside, your sneakers are sure to get the worst of the wear. So try one of these terrific tricks to keep people from fleeing from the smell:
- Pull out the old insoles, and replace them with a pair of odor-controlling inserts.
- Tuck a small piece of a scented fabric-softener sheet into the toe of each shoe.
- Sprinkle a little baking soda in your shoes after you wear ‘em. It’ll absorb odors in your sneakers, just like it does in your fridge. (But remember to shake it out before you slip the shoes on.)
- Dust the insides of your sneakers with baby powder to keep ‘em dry, comfortable, and smelling fresh.
- Pepper your steppers with green clay. It’s a natural odor neutralizer that can be found at most health food stores.
