Fight Free Radicals With Food
Harmful free radicals from cigarette smoke, car exhaust, and pollution can cause premature wrinkling, making you look old before your time. But don’t worry—antioxidants are your skin’s best friend. They scavenge far and wide internally to destroy free radicals before they can penetrate your skin’s natural defenses. The good news is that many delicious foods are rich in antioxidants, including most fruits and veggies, green tea, cocoa, and nuts. Here are my favorite antioxidant superstars:
- Blueberries. These juicy little gems outrank more than 50 fruits and vegetables in amount of antioxidants they contain. So gobble ‘em up!
- Oranges. Peel ‘em, eat ‘em, or sip the juice. Either way, oranges are packed with antioxidants that protect other vitamins so they can perform their normal duties.
- Rosemary. This herb can help prevent skin damage by protecting the fat in skin cells. It’s easy to use rosemary—just place a branch on your pork, chicken, or beef while it’s cooking; sprinkle ground rosemary on salmon or tuna steaks before grilling; stir some into canned minestrone soup for authentic Italian flavor; and shake a little on your next pizza for a little extra pizzazz.
And check the label of your skin cream to make sure it includes antioxidants, so you can also repair free-radical-damaged skin from the outside in.
We loaded our Anti-Aging & Wrinkle “Dream Cream” with not just one or two, but three powerhouse antioxidants—vitamins A, C, and E, plus emollient butters, potent peptides, and nature’s most hydrating botanical extracts. So feed your skin the secret of lasting youth for 21 days—FREE!
